Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute various business events, including seminars and conferences.
- Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, catering, audio-visual arrangements, and guest invitations.
- Oversee the association's financial activities, including budgeting, invoicing, and expense tracking. Coordinate with the treasurer to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
- Stay abreast of changes in labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements to provide up-to-date guidance to members.
- Assist members in understanding and implementing legal and regulatory requirements related to employment, including wage and hour laws, discrimination laws, and workplace safety regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of hostel facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, and structural elements. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, renovations, and equipment purchases as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and human resources principles, with a proven track record of applying this expertise to support businesses.
- Experience in advocacy or public policy, with the ability to effectively represent members' interests and influence decision-making processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and compelling manner to diverse audiences.
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate evolving business and regulatory environments, with a proactive approach to identifying emerging trends and opportunities.
- Standby on Public Holiday, Weekends & After office hours.
