We are looking for a passionate and caring Playgroup Assistant Teacher to support our lead teachers in providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. The successful candidate will assist in conducting fun and educational activities, encouraging social skills, and promoting cognitive and physical development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for our playgroup.
- Support in the preparation of learning materials and classroom setup.
- Assist in the supervision of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Help to maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Assist in observing and documenting children's behavior and progress, providing feedback to the Lead Teacher.
- Develop positive relationships with children, fostering a sense of belonging and fun.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
- Comply with all licensing standards, as well as safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum PSLE
- Experience working with young children in a formal setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
