RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide claims handling service to clients, intermediaries and business partners
- Handle enquiries and correspondence of marine claims
- Investigate and negotiate on marine claims
- Decide and instruct on appointment of service providers
- Decide and instruct on reserve provision
- Handle claims recoveries
- Advise customers on loss prevention
- Review claim files including setting of reserves and monitoring of recoveries
- Complaints handling
- Train, guide and coach junior staff
- Undertake any other duties as may be assigned
- Tertiary education and/or relevant Insurance Professional Qualifications
- Claims handling experience in marine insurance
- Marine insurance knowledge
- Technical knowledge of underwriting including reinsurance
- Claims technical know-how
