Job Purpose:
Provides sound and timely fundamental analysis as a key strategic input for the Company’s Global Sugar trading strategies and is an integral part of the trading team. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative and analytical skills, excellent communication and collaborative skills, a keen attention to detail, and a deep curiosity about global markets. Additionally, the candidate has a deep understanding of the EU/FSU Region and its operatives.
Responsibilities:
Sugar Origination
- Actively engage in sugar origination within the EU/FSU region, identifying procurement opportunities, and optimizing the supply chain.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including producers and suppliers, to ensure a robust understanding of market dynamics.
Business Development
- Drive business development initiatives by identifying new market prospects, fostering partnerships, and executing strategic plans to enhance market presence.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative strategies for growth and market expansion.
Fundamental Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive fundamental analysis of the EU/FSU sugar market, including production, consumption, and trade flows forecasts.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to interpret market data and trends, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
White Matrix Consolidation and Analysis
- Oversee the consolidation and analysis of White Matrix data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in reporting.
- Synthesize complex data into concise and actionable reports for internal stakeholders.
Coordination Between Research and Trading Desks
- Serve as a bridge between research and trading desks, facilitating seamless coordination on global projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research findings with trading strategies and objectives.
