As Senior Specialist, Global Insights & Research you will be responsible for driving market research and competitive intelligence projects in specific markets or customer segments, identifying key strengths and weaknesses of existing or potential competitors, and opportunities for Amadeus.
You will play a key role in setting up and maintaining the research methodology and processes to identify trends and insights in the market that bring the customer’s and the market’s voice to the decision-making process and provide decision-makers across TU with the information they need to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities:
Insights & Research strategy
- Lead the development and execution of consistent research and insights processes within Travel Unit
- Build a network of insights sources, both internally and externally, that provide high-quality insights in a cost-effective manner and within an acceptable timeframe
- Conduct primary and secondary research, analyzing and synthesizing information and data
- Define and implement processes for evaluating and executing research requests from teams across TU
- Drives integrated performance reporting and customer engagement analytics leveraging innovative tools and channels.
Market competitive intelligence
- Develop a deep understanding of Amadeus' product portfolio and competitor landscape across TU
- For strategic target markets, identify and analyze data sources (qualitative and quantitative), such as market research surveys, customer feedback, and sales data to gain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and help the company to stay ahead of the competition by identifying new market opportunities and trends.
- Execute gap analysis to identify areas where the company is underperforming or excelling, compared to competitors
- Conduct interviews with internal and external sources to better understand competitors products, go-to-market strategy, and win/loss results
- Track industry trends and identify new market opportunities, as well as analyze and interpret customer data to gain insights into consumer behavior and preferences
Drive input to strategy and decision-making
- Provide actionable insights and differentiators on key competitors across the product portfolio
- Create compelling content for executive presentations
- Create and maintain competitive decks, battle cards, playbooks, SWOT, win-loss analysis

About ideal candidate
- Bachelors or a Masters degree in Marketing, competitive Intelligence, industry intelligence, strategy or business development.
- Proven 8 years work experience in Market/Customer Insights, Marketing Intelligence or Competitive Intelligence
- Experienced leader with a track record of leading insights teams and a deep understanding of market research techniques.
- Experience and deep knowledge of the global Travel Technology industry
- Strong customer centric background.
- Proactive, and able to provide evidence of, discovering new trends and key insights to support future business decisions.
- An ability to simplify complex research into meaningful actionable insights
- Excellent communicating and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire, collaborate and influence.
- Able to build long-lasting professional relationships with leading teams
- Experience in matrix organizations
