Thales is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Bids and Projects Director for Asia.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be the management of Bids and Projects in the Region with specific focus on Governance, Skills/Capability and expertise support.
You will be working with the support of the Operations Department in the different countries in the Region and the DGDI Bids and Projects Director.
This role reports directly to the Asia Regional Operations Director.
Job Duties
- Responsible for the Regional Governance for Bids and Projects for the Region,
- Deploy Group mission: to define, deploy and coordinate B&P management practices and environment, that lead to improved efficiency and risk reduction on bids, projects and associated product development,
- Develop B&P community, coordinating skills, mentoring and knowledge sharing via networking;
- Launch/lead/support internal review/audit and task force (Tiger Team) as relevant for the different Bids and Projects.
- Increase (JF03) competencies through assessment and certification, including development plans & support, mentoring and skills matrix.
- Support directly large Project or Bid when relevant and in accordance with the BL and Country operations
- Deploy S&OP process with a focus on Workload with support from local PMOs,
- Coordinate the schedule and governance of Bids across the Region and report monthly,
- Monitoring (delivery) performance, whilst maintaining the Region views across GBUs/BLs and report monthly on status and action plan,
- Root Cause Analysis of variances on Bids and Projects to define the relevant improvement plan and follow it.
- Develop synergies across the Region to leverage our different local capabilities for Bids and Projects,
- When facing priority challenges for resources, propose solutions between Bids and Projects, at Region or Country level, to allocate the best possible resources to the highest priority projects/bids.
Job Requirements
- 15+ years’ experience in the field of Bids and Projects,
- Relevant experience with international Defense customer,
- Strong communications skills to coordinate with the different BLs, Country entities and DGDI,
- Ability to communicate to Senior stakeholders both internally and externally,
- IPMA Certification level B, higher or equivalent strongly recommended
- Team player, and ability to work independently
- Position is based in Singapore and involves some international travels regionally.
