JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of the Risk and Compliance team, you will be integral in working with relevant stakeholders to support the organization in developing and implementing the overall risk management strategy and related initiatives as well as ensuring compliance to regulations and internal policies.
- Support ‘middle-office’ activities relating to market and credit risks
- Credit Risk – Provide effective and sound credit recommendations on credit proposals from Divisions within a specified turnaround time so that well informed decisions are made by approving authorities to minimize the probability of credit losses
- Market Risk – Keep abreast of market events and highlight to supervisors any potential threat to portfolio. Performing deals check on trades and monitor counterparty exposure
- Assist in the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and other risk related policies and methodologies
- Facilitate and review risk assessments for key business operations, strategic investments and major projects
- Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRI) for monitoring and decision-making
- Support Division’s Risk Committee and BCM Committee in delivering their terms of reference
- Drive risk management culture through working with business units to educate and create awareness of risk management accountability
- Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department from time to time
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Finance, Accountancy, Business or Economics with at least 6 to 8 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in environment and/or energy industry is an added advantage
- A hands-on manager with technical acumen and ability to understand broad business issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good ability to influence, communicate and present
- Works well under pressure
