Our Policy, Statistics and Research (PSR) functions play a vital role in influencing CPF policies and operations. Data informs many of the decisions we make in our PSR functions; and to perform our roles well, CPFB has embarked on a journey to become Data-Smart. In support of that, you will design and implement strategic plans to drive the Board’s Data-Smart journey. You will also be part of a team that builds data science capabilities to help the Board extract value from data for effective business decisions and policy-making.
What you will be working on
The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in shaping and executing the Board's strategic vision for achieving Data-Smart ambitions. You will work closely with various departments to plan, organise, and implement Data-Smart activities while also engaging in policy formulation and strategic planning.
The board area of your responsibilities include:
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of the Board’s strategic plan for achieving our Data-Smart ambitions. This includes driving initiatives for pervasive data use throughout the Board, developing a comprehensive set of good quality data, building strong data science competencies, and integrating planning and policy considerations into the strategy.
- Monitor the progress of our Data-Smart journey and make recommendations to management on adjustments to the strategy and plans, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and policy objectives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and departments to plan, organise, and implement enterprise-wide Data-Smart activities, integrating policy considerations into project planning and execution.
- Uplift the Board’s data science competencies by ensuring the data science competency framework is updated, curating relevant training modules with a focus on policy implications, and conducting training sessions that integrate planning and policy components.
- Formulate and implement engagement plans for the Board’s data science community of practice, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation, with a particular emphasis on policy-related discussions and initiatives.
What we are looking for
- Experience in strategic planning, policy development, and project management, preferably in a data-intensive environment.
- Good understanding of data science principles and methodologies,
- Ability to translate technical concepts into policy recommendations and strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels and present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
The successful candidate will hold the corporate title of Manager/Senior Manager, with seniority based on individual work experiences.
