Responsibilities:
- To handle the GL accounting for a significant operating entity
- Preparation & posting of journal entries, ensuring all transactions are properly supported with documentation
- Preparation of monthly financial reporting pack, with financial performance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation and provision of financial accounting support to regional office
- Compiling and submission of quarterly GST returns
- Timely and accurate preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations & bank reconciliation as part of internal control to assess and mitigate balance sheet risk; identifies and follow up on areas of concern within the reconciliation, develops corrective action plans where needed and ensure accounts are in good standing
- Maintenance of fixed assets register, performance of asset sighting
- Work closely with business units for annual budgeting and forecasting exercise
- Liaision with external & internal auditors, preparation of audit documentations and financial statements
- Maintenance of internal controls
- Any other Ad-hoc or administrative duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum Accountancy Degree
- Equivalent professional qualification with 2 to 4 years of relevant working experience.
- Handles full sets of Accounts
- Knowledge of Computerised Accounting systems is an advantage
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word)
