Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Strategy and Design:
Architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to align with business goals and requirements.
Compute Optimization:
Design and implement compute architectures leveraging GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, App Engine, and Cloud Functions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Secure Network Architecture:
Develop robust network architectures on GCP, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, firewall rules, VPNs, and interconnects, to facilitate secure and efficient communication between resources.
Data Storage Solutions:
Architect storage solutions utilizing GCP services like Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Bigtable, and Firestore, adhering to data durability, availability, and performance requirements.
Identity and Access Management (IAM) Governance:
Design and implement IAM policies and roles to enforce least privilege access controls, ensuring compliance with security requirements and regulatory standards.
Comprehensive Security Posture:
Implement security controls and best practices to safeguard cloud infrastructure, including encryption, key management, identity federation, threat detection, and incident response strategies.
Cloud Cost Optimization:
Optimize cloud costs by right-sizing resources, implementing cost allocation tags, leveraging committed use discounts, and optimizing storage and networking costs.
Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration:
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a GCP Architect or similar role, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions on GCP.
- In-depth knowledge of GCP services and features related to compute, storage, networking, security, and IAM.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect is a must.
