General Manager

Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our prestigious overseas Chinese restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality and authenticity in Chinese cuisine.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding service and achieve business goals.
  2. Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
  3. Oversee daily operations including staffing, inventory management, and financial performance.
  4. Maintain quality control standards for food preparation, presentation, and service.
  5. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  8. Monitor and analyze sales and financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to remain competitive in the market.
  10. Represent the restaurant at events, functions, and industry gatherings to promote brand awareness and network with potential partners.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a Chinese restaurant setting.
  2. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Mandarin Chinese (proficiency in other languages is a plus).
  4. In-depth knowledge of Chinese cuisine, culture, and culinary traditions.
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and drive revenue growth.
  6. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  7. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and restaurant management software.
