Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our prestigious overseas Chinese restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality and authenticity in Chinese cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding service and achieve business goals.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily operations including staffing, inventory management, and financial performance.
- Maintain quality control standards for food preparation, presentation, and service.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor and analyze sales and financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to remain competitive in the market.
- Represent the restaurant at events, functions, and industry gatherings to promote brand awareness and network with potential partners.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a Chinese restaurant setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Mandarin Chinese (proficiency in other languages is a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of Chinese cuisine, culture, and culinary traditions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and drive revenue growth.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and restaurant management software.
