- Assists the Project Manager in managing and supervising the execution of production works and ensuring the delivery of assigned projects
- Assists the Project Manager in planning and prioritising the order of works and work methodology
- Liaises with the project team to allocate adequate manpower and equipment resources
- Monitors work progress on board vessels and in workshops
- Conducts production meetings between Yard’s subcontractors, supervisor and ship’s staff to clarify work scope, co-ordinate sequence of work, update schedules and other contractual matters, as and when required
- Ensures works are carried out according to the job specifications in terms of quantity, quality and meeting Class/Owner requirements by developing test plans and arranging for inspection and survey for the Superintendents and Classification
- Completes the process of mechanical completion and commissioning scope of work
- Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Shipbuilding, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or relevant apprenticeship training in a marine trade
- Knowledge of various workshops dealing with specialised works in the industry
- Able to perform scheduled night duties when required
- Attend to vessel’s needs during weekends and public holidays
- Travel within the country or abroad for ship check
- Good knowledge of marine industry skills in any discipline
- Knowledge in Hull,Mechanical, Piping & Electrical will be advantageous
- Good planning,organization, control, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
- Good knowledge of project management software and other planning softwares
- Keen to work in a shipyard environment
