What an Electrical and Electronic Engineer does in HP:
- Designs engineering solutions, utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, and solutions based on established engineering principles and development technology guidelines, while ensuring cost effectiveness and quality.
- Manage and facilitate Electrical & Electronic aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI) while coordinating with R&D, Operations, and Manufacturing Partners (MPA).
- Ensures optimization of concepts and designs with analytical and physical assessments, to increase efficiency and improve quality.
- Conduct assessments on product designs and project undertakings, ensuring conformity with manufacturing guidelines and standards.
- Provide feedback based on evaluation results to enhance the quality of the product and reduce the probability of failure.
- Primary liaison for product electronics/electrical performance and implemented rectifying measures to drive improvement.
- Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Delivers professionally written reports, and supports the realization of other operational and strategic plans.
Individuals who will do well in this role in HP, usually possess:
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in , Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design, engineering design tools and software packages, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
- Preferred Certifications: Product Certification, Six Sigma Certification.
