As a Sales Support Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to the sales team by providing support in various sales-related activities. You will work closely with the sales team members and learn about the sales process and customer relationship management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Customer inquiries and assistance: Assisting in handling customer inquiries and requests through various communication channels, such as phone, email, or live chat. Providing timely and accurate responses to customer queries and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Order processing and management: Assisting in processing sales orders, verifying order details, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment. Resolving any order-related issues or discrepancies.
- Sales documentation and reporting: Assisting in maintaining sales records, preparing sales reports, and generating sales-related documents, such as quotes, proposals, and contracts. Ensuring accurate and updated information is recorded in the sales database or CRM system.
- Sales support coordination: Collaborating with the sales team to coordinate sales activities, schedule appointments, and meetings. Assisting in organizing sales presentations, preparing sales materials, and providing administrative support to the sales team members.
- Market research and analysis: Conducting research on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Assisting in gathering market intelligence and competitor analysis to contribute to sales strategies and identify potential business opportunities.
- Product knowledge development: Acquiring knowledge about the company's products or services and understanding their features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Assisting in creating product documentation and sales collateral to support the sales team's efforts.
- CRM and data management: Assisting in managing customer data in the CRM system, updating customer profiles, and ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Assisting in analyzing sales data and preparing reports for sales performance evaluation.
- Process improvement initiatives: Identifying opportunities for streamlining sales support processes and suggesting improvements. Assisting in implementing process enhancements to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of CRM systems is a plus.
