About The Role
The Crux Lead INLEC/Production Technician is a dual trade role which is a critical position within the operations team being established which focused on delivery from Execute phase, culminating in a successful Start-up and CRUX Project to Asset handover through to operations. This position is a key role that moves through the Project phase into the future organization operations structure to maintain Crux. A major part of the role will also be to train and mentor future staff to facilitate interventions on Crux from Prelude.
POSITION DESCRIPTION - ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Lead INLEC/PRODUCTION Technician roles and responsibilities will differ between the different phases of the Project Cycle leading up to operations.
IN THE EXECUTE PHASE:
- Work with the Training department to set up competence and training requirements.
- Contribute to and review any Project Engineering activities that requires your support.
- Contribute to the Operations and Maintenance workshops.
- Review and contribute to maintenance work pack development
- Review and contribute to the Compterised Maintenance Management System build.
- Support and build a compile Corrective Maintenance work packs for critical equipment.
FOR ONSHORE COMMISSIONING/FABRICTION YARD
- Gain knowledge on the asset by walkdowns on the asset.
- Review of Work packs to ensure that they are fit for purpose.
- Work with the CSU team for commissioning of equipment thereby gaining knowledge.
- Attend vendor specific training for different equipment
- Support and contribute to handover walkdowns for commissioned systems
- Support CSU team with Preservation and structured walkdowns to ensure equipment and piping are maintains cleanliness.
- Review of permits and isolations to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Work with Training department to build training packages for new starters from respective knowledge gain through vendor and equipment training.
OPERATIONS:
- Provide assurance and oversight of execution of maintenance scope through the maintenance contractors. Responsibilities include the undertaking of offshore operations surveillance tasks and minor maintenance including sampling and testing. Other activities include safe isolation and purging of plant and equipment ensuring a Safe Work environment to execute the work scopesinclsuive of the relevant steps to bring back the plant or equipment into service.
Experience Requirements:
- Dual Trade Instrument / Electrical Certificate with A Grade Western Australian Electrical License
- Sound technical understanding and experience in various Instrumentation and Electrical systems, with a preference to have a minimum of ten years working in an INLEC role.
- Sound understanding of work preparation and scheduling requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in mentoring, training, leading, and working within teams and engagement with other disciplines.
- Proficient in coordinating maintenance activities on oil & gas facilities through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Understanding of business processes for maintenance
- Maintain flexibility with an ability to perform autonomously in a dynamic work environment
- Experience with analysers with respect to servicing, calibrating, repairing, and troubleshooting.
Skills and Competencies:
- NLEC Dual Trade Certificate (preferred) or Electrician with Instrumentation certification.
- Endorsed Electrical Fitter / Mechanic or Electrician’s License.
- A Grade Electrical License.
