Responsibilities:
- Manage all soil investigation works, TBM works, Cross passage works, Ground improvement works, as a project geologist.
- Manage various construction works as a civil engineer.
- Responsible for dealing with consultant, authorities, client, and sub-contractors management.
- Planning & Programming
- Planning of execution work schedule based on contract schedule for responsible area.
- Quality
- Highlight technical issues and update Construction Department on changes and distribute to vendors, engineers and supervisors.
- Plan and execute geotechnical and instrumentation installation and monitoring works.
- Site evalution of soil, rock, fault distribution and geological studies on site to determine their engineering properties.
- Liaise and coordinate with instrumentation contractor for installation and monitoring issues.
- Update instrumentation drawings.
- Conduct interpretation of actual soil conditions and test results and oversee all excavation works (shaft, TBM, Cross Passage, GIW,etc)
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience with Degree in civil engineering recognized by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control as eligible for application as a Resident Engineer or recognised Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the Engineer.
- At least 5 years of experience in the design and construction supervision of geotechnical work for projects of similar scale, complexity and nature of work
- Master degree in geotechnical engineering is preferred
- With LTA project experience is preferred
