Analyst, Public Communications & Engagement (12 months contract)

Kantar Mantle Pte Ltd (known as Verian) is looking for a dynamic and versatile Analyst to join our Public Communications & Engagement division, someone with fresh eyes and a passion for discovering the answers to help build a better public realm in Singapore.

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with using a multidisciplinary approach to address unpacking and addressing communications and behavioural issues, using structured as well as unstructured data, energetic, able to handle multiple tasks, work to tight deadlines, and enjoy working in a tight team to ensure the successful delivery of these programmes. And we want you to lead by example, helping us to continue to grow a fantastic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and implementation of projects which include qualitative and quantitative research, including moderating in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, participant observations and large scale online and offline surveys
  • Conduct reviews of academic literature, as well as trends and social media scans
  • Support the design and execution of communication evaluations and public sentiment surveys, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Play an active role in supporting and facilitating client workshops and discussion sessions with both clients and study participants
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise and impactful reports and presentations
  • Provide effective and timely client servicing

Key Requirements:

  • Have a Degree/Masters in the social sciences, including but not limited to political science, sociology, psychology, communications, statistics, social methods research, data analytics, etc
  • Are ambitious – wanting to be great at what you do – and excited by learning curves and being challenged
  • Genuine interest in issues facing the public sector and desire to make a positive social impact
  • Ambidextrous thinker who is detailed minded, comfortable with numbers but also able to think laterally and creatively
  • A natural problem-solver who is self-motivated and has a passion for learning
  • A collaborative team player who is also unafraid to articulate his or her points-of-view
  • Organised, meticulous, deadline driven and able to multi-task
  • Care about quality and ‘getting it right’, and taking pride in doing great work
  • Thrive on variety – adaptable and positive in the face of change
  • Works well under pressure, with the patience and perseverance to see through long timelines
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Bilingual, English and mother tongue (Chinese/Malay/Tamil)
