Your Role
We are looking for a passionate individual with great negotiation skills to independently manage and drive the procurement services in the contract logistics industry.
What Will You Do:
- To establish and manage the Singapore procurement team
- To identify, prioritize, evaluate, and manage the day-to-day procurement needs and opportunities.
- To manage daily procurement operation and oversee completion of tasks performed by the Procurement team.
- To be responsible for the procurement of these categories: consumables, equipment, services such as contract labors and local/cross border transports, in Singapore.
- To provide cost analysis on CAPEX buy and/or lease of category purchases.
- To be responsible in reviewing on cost-saving initiatives and report of savings to the Head of Procurement.
- To lead business review meetings and review compliance with procurement team and implement best improvements.
- To secure procurement in project procurement, and provide and support the business units with the buying rates.
- To work with Internal Audit in identifying areas of weakness and ensure procurement controls are complying to rules and regulations.
- To source and procure activities that support key business objectives.
- To drive sourcing by establishing and enhancing relationship with supplies.
- To deliver sustainable cost reductions, while lowering risk in the Supply Chain.
- To track Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders in Singapore
- To provide strategic direction on procurement actions, approval workflows and thresholds
- To be responsible in managing and preparing contract
What Do You Need:
- Minimum Degree with 8 years of experience in related area or Diploma with 10 years of experience
- Must have at least 4 years’ experience in managerial/ senior level position in related industry
- Must have experience in related Supply Chain & Logistic software.
- Great knowledge of sourcing and procurement strategies, tactics, processes, procedures, and systems.
- Experience in development of policies and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
