Job description
• Ensure compliance of operations with Workplace Safety and Health Regulations and Statutory requirements especially NEA.
• Conduct regular site checks and to take appropriate corrective actions.
• Identify environmental issues and recommend measures to rectify the irregularities.
• Provide recommendations for improvement periodically on environmental issues in line with Statutory requirements.
• Exercise control in enforcing compliances to legal requirement and in-house rules.
• Responsible for the execution of various monitoring programmes.
• To provide monthly report on ECO system operation and performance.
• To ensure that work practices in projects are at all times in line with legal and 3rd party audit requirement, that is, WSH, ISO, GGBS, ConSASS and Bizsafe.
• Ensure the effective implementation of risk assessments, and follow up actions to maintain high safety standard and compliance to company policy and legal requirement.
• To conduct regular inspection to ensure that the measures are at all times in place and complaints related.
• Perform other ECO-related duties as assigned by Reporting Manager.
Job Requirements:
Registered ECO
- Good working knowledge of environmental policies, legislation, guidelines and standards and best practices.
- Ability to conduct inspections and audits to produce thorough, readable, and informative reports.
- Ability to manage public communication and complaints.
- Ability to compile and maintain documentation in an organized manner.
