Responsibilities:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagement.
- Lead and manage fieldwork on project sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the audit process.
- Spot, investigate and resolve potential non-compliance in key controls, process flows and accounting.
- Identify areas of improvement in business processes and provide recommendations.
- Participate in due diligence exercises for new acquisitions.
- Prepare audit report and presentations for Audit Committee / Board of Directors and follow up of outstanding audit recommendations to ensure prompt implementation by management
- Any other duties assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy / Finance / Business or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in audit and risk management.
- Exposure to hospitality, residential, commercial, business parks, urban developments, or retail business audits is preferred.
- Keen eye to detail with strong observation and investigative skills
- Strong auditing, analytical skills, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin (to handle queries and concerns from China offices regarding audit matters).
- May be required to travel occasionally.
