Senior Advisor, Operations Excellence

Job Purpose

To advise and support the Senior Director for operations excellence on building and expanding critical capabilities in Asia specifically related to Product Delivery of the OMS Product and Customer and Project Implementation.

Among others, this will include designing and executing a Customer Implementation Program across LOBs, developing a Project Management program for Internal projects, and supporting the management and execution of the OMS Product Landscape. In working with our Product Delivery, the role will also serve as advisor in the development of an optimal operational flow of our OMS product from order to cash, the role thus will require experience and knowledge of the interplay of Physical, information and document flow solutions relevant to APL Logistics products.


Roles & Responsibilities

Functional

· Building Capabilities

o Develop and execute a project management package and train internal resources to manage successful rollout of transformation solutions within the assigned region.

o With the head of Customer implementation, enhance the customer implementation package and train associates on it. The Package will include modern processes, tools in management, communication, and tracking.

o In working with Product Delivery head, develop and implement product governance process that ensures compliance to the product landscape.

· Providing Knowledge

o Provide critical input on the ongoing business improvements from Order to Cash (OTC) to improve KPIs and productivity. This will require challenging status quo to implement product delivery enhancements.

o With the head of Ops Excellence, develop and execute plans to enhance the product knowledge of cohorts including the understanding the interplay of Physical, Information, Document and Financial solutions related to our product.

· Tactical Support

o Support the Head of AOE, to align concepts of Product Governance, and customer implementation globally.

o As necessary provide solutions on Global Customer bids considering the appropriate application of our product landscape.

o Lead Customer Implementation of Larger Customer opportunities more relevant to OMS and Global accounts as decided with the Head of customer Implementation.

People

  • Mentor and develop employees to assume leadership positions in the company and build talent paths for key performers regionally/globally.
  • Through an exemplary leadership develop a culture of Accountability by setting and managing clear objectives and KPIs.

Finance

  • Ensures the achievement of financial and business objectives and goals across the own functional teams. Effectively manages functional budgets and takes appropriate actions to control and reduce costs and optimize investments. Upholds and enforces the Company’s financial standards and policies.
  • Prepare and submit annual budget to top management; control, monitor and report results monthly to achieve budget targets.

Qualification

  • Graduate of Industrial Engineering or any business-related course, with MA degree is an advantage.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Order Management systems, process and value proposition
  • Experience in customer and project implementation.
  • Minimum of at least 8+ years of proven project management and continuous improvement experience, preferably in the logistics industry.
  • With experience on working on cross-cultural environment.
  • With excellent verbal and non-verbal skills.
  • Experience in Process mapping, Value stream mapping tools e.g. ARIS
  • Excellent change management skills and experience
  • Must show ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Knowledgeable on different continuous improvement methodologies including lean, 6 sigma, project management and business analysis.
  • Formal Qualification in Project Management methodology, Process Improvement, Lean Six Sigma and Analytic Tools will be of great advantage.
  • Experience with BI tools and BI systems like Power BI, Tableau, SAP, or similar are added advantage.
  • Detailed understanding of Continuous Improvement frameworks, techniques, and methods (Agile, Scrum Framework., LEAN, 6 Sigma), with advanced problem-solving skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a virtual, global team.
  • Lean 6 Sigma certification preferred.
  • Project Management (PMP/Prince 2) certified.
  • Experience in automation, digitization, digitalisation and other technology-driven improvement projects
