Clinic Assistant - Ad hoc / Part time

Position Overview:

Seeking a motivated and compassionate Clinic Assistant to join our healthcare team. You will play a crucial role in providing efficient and high-quality administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations. You will be responsible for assisting the doctors, managing appointments, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Registration:

  • Greet and register patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate demographic and medical information is collected.

2. Medical Records Management:

  • Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare medical records for patient visits, including necessary forms or documents.

3. Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative assistance and manage inventory and stock levels of supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication, responding to inquiries or directing them to the appropriate staff members.

4. Billing and Payments:

  • Process medical billing, including verifying insurance and collecting payment.
  • Assist patients with billing inquiries, explaining charges, insurance policies, and payment options.

5. Patient Assistance and Customer Service:

  • Ensure a friendly and welcoming environment for patients.
  • Assist patients with completing forms, scheduling follow-up appointments, and addressing their general inquiries.
  • Liaise with healthcare providers, external organisations, and insurance companies to facilitate patient referrals, laboratory tests, and other services.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or vocational training will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages commonly spoken in Singapore (e.g., Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) is advantageous.
