Responsibilities and duties
1. Preparing monthly and annual profit and loss statements.
2. Preparing the annual balance sheet.
3. Filing annual returns.
4. Creating cashflow statements and forecasts.
5. Handling GST calculations.
6. Monitoring financial parameters like cost of sales, expenditure, and profitability for continuous improvement.
7. Proposing cost-cutting measures.
8. Processing staff claims.
9. Ensuring timely invoicing.
10. Monitoring and proposing ways to reduce liquidated damages imposed by clients.
11. Collaborating closely with the Chairman to ensure the financial health of the firm.
12. Supervising finance staff to ensure they fulfill their duties.
13. Meeting all KPIs and Key Deliverables within prescribed timelines.
14. Working with other department Heads to fulfill contractual commitments and provide excellent service delivery.
15. Reporting to and consulting with the Chairman on issues requiring intervention, both immediate and future.
Competencies:
1. Higher education in Finance, Accountancy or Equivalent.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
4. Positive attitude towards problem solving and tight deadlines.
5. Strong attention to detail whilst being able to multi-task.
