Position Overview
The 6-months internship program will provide broad exposure to the investment managers and asset classes in which our clients are investing, including equities, bonds, real estate, venture capital, hedge funds, private equity, and many other types of investments. Separate, dedicated teams of research professionals study and evaluate fund managers in these asset classes. By working alongside some of these groups, intern will learn how institutions decide to invest in, evaluate and measure fund managers. The internship program typically begins in early July and concludes in end December.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with completing in-depth due diligence on investment opportunities. Responsibilities include: preparation of pre-meeting analytical and background materials for manager meetings, attendance of manager meetings, quantitative analysis of fund returns and other tasks that will help in evaluating fund managers
- Write reports, of various formats, to help clients and colleagues in their investment decisions. This includes concise commentaries summarizing meetings with fund managers and in-depth due diligence reports
- Assist colleagues seeking current information on investment opportunities, including data and analysis, comparisons across fund managers, and the opinion of the research team
- Prepare exhibits for periodic Research meetings
Skills
- A demonstrated interest in investments and sustainability
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Demonstrated command of written communication and strong English business writing skills. Business Mandarin knowledge would be a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and strong Excel skills. Knowledge of Bloomberg and Factset will be a plus
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/requests while ensuring integrity, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data
- Ability to work both independently and in a team under tight deadlines
Qualifications
- Penultimate/sophomore students (any major), with a record of high academic achievement
- Must be eligible to work in Singapore without sponsorship or restriction
