Responsibilities
• Interviews and provides STI information to patients and advising and safe sex practices and STI prevention
• Contact traces sex partner(s) of patients diagonsed with STIs.
• Follow-up on patients who have been diagnosed with STIs or have defaulted treatment.
• Contact patients' sexual partners for screening and treatment.
• Reviews electronic medical records (EMR) details, follow-up with doctor i/c and codes diagnosis.
• Reviews treatment details and updates outcomes
• Provides Medical Scheme information and STI education to brothel keepers and Medical Scheme registrants.
• Participates in public health, educational and research activities and projects (such as the HIV ST Project).
Requirements
• Minimum Diploma in any discipline (preferably in social work)
• Counselling background preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
