The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrolytes and comprehend the interface with electrode, and comprehensive assessment of the devices.
- Coordinate the collaboration with other researchers in this project to maintain steady progress, and provide support to the research group on related experiments.
- Help set up equipment for in-situ characterizations.
- Provide support to the management of lab and project issues, including equipment procurement, battery fabrication lines and final reports.
- Make regular report to PI.
- Provide support to the management of lab infrastructure, safety, mentoring junior members, and writing final reports.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate should have earned or will soon earn a Ph.D. Degree in either material sciences or applied physics from top universities.
- Have a demonstrated track-record of scientific productivity (journal publications, patents, etc) particularly on the topic of batteries.
- Candidate must be highly motivated and keen to undertake grand challenges in multidisciplinary subjects.
- Candidate should be able to conduct the project independently without heavy training or supervision.
- A good team player who is capable and willing to provide supports in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.
- Background in DFT calculation and/or MD simulation is preferrable.
- Have reasonable oral and written communication skills in English.
