Role Purpose:
To support our growth and to drive excellence in the service and experience of our amazing cafe operations for all our International Accounts! You will identify, motivate, train, develop and direct your team to deliver exceptional service and accomplish goals and projects. This position oversees the administrative and operational task, including implementation of programs, financial management and analysis, sanitation, and safety.
The Director of Operations, is a Senior Leadership role and will focus on innovative hospitality and creating the cafe experience to support operational excellence. You will provide high level culinary expertise, creativity, and project support to the culinary department, managing, implementing, and supporting all food related programs in a multi-unit operation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Designs, manages and owns the overall experience, not just the amazing things we offer

- Will have end to end responsibility to manage the P&L
- Create a culture of Food and Workplace Safety to ensure cafe operations maintains our standards
- Accountable for monitoring and managing all financial and budget responsibilities while maintaining our best standards
- Build and maintain relationships while working closely with directors, teams, stakeholders, and other groups
- Train and develop your team while working towards business goals and ensuring that all sectors and employee guidelines are implemented and adhered to
- Manage Tour Cafés, overseeing, training and assisting with front of house merchandising or operational initiatives
- Revitalizes older cafes with new food programs, merchandising, and equipment
- Oversees and contributes to the successful opening of all new Cafés
- Meets all timelines for quarter and year-end reports given by our partners and Sector Employer
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- Follow Compass health, safety and security procedures
- Maintain safe personal presentation standards
- Consult on health and safety matters
- Report all incidents and hazards immediately
- Complete all required HSE training
- Adhere to the site food safety plan, hygiene procedures and standards
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Business Management or relevant professional experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Experience in managing senior stakeholders in B2B environment
- Strong background in driving business unit performance
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Experience in delivering on multiple projects, with proven ability to show short, mid- and long-term results
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Track record in managing a portfolio of business units
- Strong and sound knowledge of business strategy development and implementation
