Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with Network teams to build and maintain the day-to-day operation of Network Infrastructure relied upon by companies and organizations. These networks typically include dark fiber, DWDM, switching, and IP.
•Coordinate, plan, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
•Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
•Research network products, services, protocols, and standards to stay abreast of developments in the networking industry.
•Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
•Configure networks to ensure smooth and reliable operation, aligning with business objectives and processes.
•Monitor, test, and troubleshoot network performance.
•Practice network asset management, including maintaining network component inventory and related documentation.
•Participate in managing all network security solutions.
Requirements:
•3-5 years of relevant working experience.
•Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
•Ability to analyse problems and devise solutions.
•Proficiency in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, and switches. Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
•Capability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for designing and planning network communication systems.
•Ability to provide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection.
•A self-starter who can work independently but is also comfortable collaborating in a team environment.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Experience with LAN, WAN, and network security.
•Team leadership experience would be an added advantage.
