We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher who will assist in setting up and managing the alternative lipids platform, especially on cultivated fish fat using cellular agriculture technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine fish stem cell culture work such as cell expansion and differentiation.
- Plan and carry out independent experiments to support process optimization, seed train, and bioprocess approaches to scale up the production of cultivated fish adipocytes using benchtop bioreactors.
- Develop relevant bioprocess-related SOPs.
- Manage, coordinate and schedule meetings with internal team and external stakeholders.
- Other techniques to employ may include lipids/metabolomics analysis, food related assessments, cell proliferation assays (MTT, MTS), cell line development, staining, fluorescence microscopy, RNA extraction, qRT-PCR, EVs isolation, protein extraction.
Job Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Life Science, Chemical / Pharmaceutical Engineering, Food Science, or equivalent fields.
- Passion for alternative protein and cultivated meat.
- Responsible, organised and focused, with a strong desire to learn.
- Being able to work independently and as part of a team, take ownership of research projects.
- Proficient in general cell culture techniques
- Able to work independently and as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous and organized with an ability to multi-task.
- Possess good communication, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Committed to laboratory ethics and can work flexible hours.
- Proficiency in stem cell biology is preferred.
- Proficiency in bioprocess work with cell culture bioreactors is preferred.
