Manage and lead the Accounts department in the full spectrum of accounting functions of the Company
- Ensure all sales transactions are appropriate and comply with cash audit policies and procedures
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and accounts
Responsibilities
· Responsible for the full spectrum of day-to-day financial and accounts operations
· ensure all transactions (AP, AR, bank reconciliations etc) are carried out accurately and timely
· Coordinate the collection, consolidation and evaluation of relevant financial data
· Supervise the accounts team to ensure that all required report deadlines are met
· Ensure timely completion in accounts closing and accuracy in accounting and financial reports
· Prepare monthly financial reports and maintain full set of accounts (Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss etc)
· Responsible for the timely collation and submission of GST Returns
· Analyse company’s financial performance and conduct variance analysis
· Track the financial status and performance of the company and identify areas for improvement
· Liaise with auditors for annual audit process and review
· Liaise with external parties such as suppliers, vendors, banks, external auditors, government authorities etc
· Consolidate, review and analyze financial data, reconcile discrepancies and provide recommendations in establishing and implementing accounting processes
· Provide financial analysis to business units and identify areas for cost reduction, as well as operational improvement
· Recommend, establish, execute and monitor implementation of accounting controls and procedures, ensure adherence to requirements and provide advice to Management on required actions
· Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accountancy/Finance
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting role with 3 years in supervisory role
- Meticulous and possess ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Good communication, leadership and analytical skill
- Experienced in retail and F&B industry
