The Construction Manager/Operations Manager manages construction activities and its progress. He/She oversees the quality control and safety matters of the project. He/She will be required to manage the administration of the project. The construction manager will be working mostly in an outdoor environment. Good communication skills are needed to liaise with the various stakeholders.
Job scope:
- Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate activities with subcontractors in accordance of project schedules and contract requirements.
- Manage budget and expenditure of the project to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Manage resources required on site.
- Manage workplace safety in accordance to safety and health regulations.
- Monitor quality of construction to ensure compliance with building control regulations.
- Monitor the progress of construction to ensure it adheres to the project timeline.
- Negotiate with relevant parties to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Plan work schedules to ensure project plans are carried out as planned.
- Prepare reports to track the progress and cost of the project.
- Prepare tenders and contract bids.
- Supervise site labour force to ensure project operations comply with standards and regulations.
