Responsibilities
- Responsible for production system integrity and production system readiness of systems under Payment System team for APAC region
- Provides L2 support and troubleshoot production incidents and critical system interfaces through the Payment System.
- Assist the Incident Manager in identifying and implementing preventive and detective measures for applications, including root cause analysis.
- Aid the IT Planner in achieving project objectives and execute production transitions for new system launches and system change requests.
- Recommend system improvements based on identified process gaps.
- Develop and document implementation, integration, and standardization processes in accordance with established standards.
- Identify and suggest processes suitable for automation and implementation.
- Lead and coordinate projects, providing analytical support and conducting requirement analysis for system enhancement, fixes, and emergency application changes deployment.
- Promptly highlight and escalate risk issues to relevant parties.
- Participate in system restoration exercises for Disaster Recovery.
- Coordinate regular issue resolution meetings with developers/vendors.
- Perform other duties as and when assigned.
Requirements
- Hold a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in Application or System Support, preferably within a bank or financial institution.
- Have hands-on experience supporting Payment systems.
- Experience in an Enterprise Application support environment involving interaction with multiple functions (developers, infrastructure, service desk, and business users).
- Possess functional knowledge of Payment systems such as GIRO, FAST, CTS, MEPS+, Overseas & Domestic Remittance, Internet Banking, and customer eAdvices.
- Have technical knowledge of applications hosted on both Windows and LINUX, capable of performing database queries (SQL Server, ORACLE), and managing application services under Windows and LINUX environments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in scripting (e.g., DOS, Shell Scripting).
- Exhibit self-motivation and a strong work ethic to ensure high-quality work delivered in a timely manner.
