Job Responsibilities
- Participate in and enhance the entire lifecycle of Java Management Service (JMS) applications, from deployment to operation.
- Enhance the current continuous deployment pipeline to cover a wide array of functionalities across different geographic zones.
- Enhance the observability platform, security measures, and incident management processes for JMS to align with defined SLAs and SLOs across all Oracle cloud services.
- Design highly available and scalable services.
- Possess troubleshooting skills to identify and address issues at their root cause.
- Document and present operational methodologies to various teams, including operations, engineering, and executives.
- Educate the broader engineering team on best practices for design and operations in distributed computing environments.
- Contribute to meeting SLAs/SLOs for both internal and external services while continually enhancing operational processes through activities like weekly ops meetings and metric analysis.
- Develop tools and automation to enhance system observability, availability, reliability, performance, and emergency response.
- Fulfill on-call duties as required.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in managing the Java Management Service (JMS) lifecycle, deployment, and operation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties and promptly respond to incidents outside regular working hours.
