Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Stakeholders to identify and suggest new systems and improvements to align with the strategic and operational objectives of the business units.
- Serve as a Finance business partner, closely engaging with Finance to address new business needs, requirements, and inquiries, and oversee the Finance project portfolio.
- Conduct thorough requirements gathering and analysis, documenting Business Requirements and engaging in configurations and setup tasks as necessary.
- Take ownership of project delivery, encompassing initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and closing stages. This includes managing resources, stakeholders, timelines, costs, risks, scope, quality, and communications with project sponsors, business users, vendors, and team members.
- Strategize and coordinate end-user testing and training for system enhancements and implementations.
- Deliver status reports and provide project updates to Project Stakeholders, including Senior Management.
- Lead or participate in the data analytics journey, collaborating closely with the business to identify opportunities for leveraging data insights and foresights. Offer guidance and input on data extraction within various Finance systems and contribute to data governance and security discussions.
- Supervise the resolution of Finance-related issues by monitoring the performance of Level 2 support vendors.
- Facilitate access rights requests and reviews for Finance modules.
- Engage in Disaster Recovery exercises, Audits, and other Business As Usual activities as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possession of a Computer Science/Information Technology degree or an Accountancy degree coupled with qualifications in Computer Science/Information Technology.
- Proficiency demonstrated through involvement in at least 3 complete SAP implementation cycles within SAP FICO modules, particularly in areas such as Controlling (e.g., Profitability Analysis and product costing), with understanding of integration with Sales & Distribution, Materials Management, and Production Planning modules. Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' experience in supporting large Finance department IT systems or in Financial Planning and Analysis and Financial Consolidation systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills enabling management of multiple concurrent projects or tasks.
- Ability to effectively influence and lead diverse stakeholders and vendors.
- Established history of success in project management, as well as user and vendor management.
- Strong aptitude in business and requirements analysis, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of articulating IT solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Adaptability to changing circumstances and environments, particularly in fast-paced contexts.
- Open-mindedness and proficiency in configuration and setup tasks when necessary.
