- Works as a consultant to the Structural, piping, EICT and Coordinates actively with engineering subcontractors, and vendors, attend meetings and communicate effectively to resolve the database and library issues.
- Develops customization of 3D modeling to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Develops 3D modeling procedures and updates as per project requirements.
- Propose improvements to the working method in the 3D modeling.
- Develops workflows for 3D modeling activities for projects.
- Reports to the Group Lead of the Engineering and Design Section in the Engineering Management department and the Project Product Manager and System Lead when assigned to a project role.
- Assist the Project Lead and piping engineer by generating various reports to ensure the quality of design.
- Ensure that the requirements are followed so that the resultant 3D model is consistent, easy to navigate and clash-free.
- Prepare and participate in design reviews with Client and Engineering subcontractors at various stages of the project.
- Provides Technical Support to end-users.
- Project-specific customization of the system and writing macros as per project needs and for further checking the quality of E3D outputs.
- Work closely with the super users in the project for smooth execution of 3D modeling.
- Plan and conduct training for the discipline designers for their continuous development.
- Manage project licenses of E3D software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering
Certification(s): Aveva E3D/PDMS course completion or training or Equivalent.
Relevant Experience:
- 15 or more years of experience in an Aveva E3D environment and demonstrated proficiency with Cats/Spec and with material take-off. Knowledge of standard drafting techniques applicable to the offshore industry.
Software:
- Discipline design tools and 3D modeling including AVEVA E3D, MDS, PML and Auto CAD.
