Job Responsibilities:
- Manage Malaysia SCM function
- Ensure all Malaysia SCM operations are executed in full compliance with the company SMS, SCM rules and Group system, policies and procedures
- Ensure all Malaysia SCM operations are executed in full compliance with the laws and regulations within the countries that we operate as well as requirements of the charters
- Source, evaluate, negotiate and purchase ship spare parts, stores, equipment and technical repair services with local and global suppliers
- Ensure that all purchases made through the purchasing department are properly authorised and conforms to quality specifications and standards
- Prepare PO in SAP, follow-up with suppliers for prompt delivery and quality products
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive information on all purchases made and ensure that all purchasing records are updated and filed accordingly
- Prepare monthly purchasing report and update weekly order status
- Liaise with Freight Forwarder for shipments arrangement to vessel or warehouse
- Ensure Delivery order and submitted Good Receipt are processed in a timely manner
- Any other duties related to purchasing as assigned by SCM Manager and Management
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree Holder in Supply Chain Management discipline or Diploma/Degree in Business Administration discipline.
- Must have 1 – 3 years of purchasing & negotiation experience is an added advantage
- Well versed in MS Office, familiar with SAP (MM Module) is preferred
- Possess effective planning and analytical skills
- Good interpersonal negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Able to handle routine tasks and follow procedure to keep documentation consistent
- Willing to work at Miri, Malaysia
