Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on various kitchen machinery and equipment, including ovens, mixers, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing disruptions to kitchen operations.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and parts utilized.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to proactively identify potential equipment issues and implement preventative measures.
• Analyze equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements to optimize kitchen efficiency and productivity.
• Stay abreast of advancements in machine maintenance techniques and technologies to ensure best practices are implemented.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
• Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure spare parts and obtain technical assistance when necessary.
Qualifications:
• Higher NITEC/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine maintenance, ideally within a commercial kitchen or food production setting.
• Thorough understanding of various kitchen equipment, their components, and operational principles.
• Proven ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and technical issues effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
• Basic computer proficiency for maintaining accurate records and effectively communicating with stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of occupational health and safety standards related to machine maintenance. Language Requirements:
• Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) languages is essential for effective communication with team members, suppliers, and documentation purposes.
