Responsibilities:
- Lead a delivery team of 2-5 people for project implementation, provide technical guidance and participate in code writing, solve architecture, and design issues, ensure system quality and maintainability, and ensure project technical risks are controlled.
- Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to validate business cases, gather and document business and functional objectives
- Implement architecture by building components and custom designs; prototyping; data migration; maintaining technical integrity and consistency; documenting system
- Validate system performance by developing and conducting test scripts; completing bug fixes
- Reviewing the work of other developers with feedback for improvement (if applicable)
- Increase organization effectiveness by identifying opportunities to leverage solutions to other engagements
- Enhance overall team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answer technical and procedural questions for less-experienced team members; teach improved processes; mentor team members
- Improve information usefulness by tracking emerging technologies; evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements
- Contribute as a team member to an operational, integration or application architecture requirements, design, implementation, or on-going operations deliverables.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience
- At least 4-6 years relevant working experience including expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Angular JS, Tomcat
- Experience in leading a team of developers (4-5 developers)
- Possess strong technical knowledge in Java/JEE in design, development and maintenance of application systems
- Knowledge of Microservices patterns and architecture
- Knowledge of Restful APIs and integration patterns
- Professional experience with n-tier application architectures development, service oriented architectures and XML
- Experience with deployments to cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with automated testing e.g Junit, Selenium etc
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps/DevSecOps would be an added advantage
- Thirsty for knowledge and keen to explore new technologies
- In-depth knowledge of NewGen product will be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and strong analytical and conceptual skill
