The incumbent will be responsible for the overall project assigned in all design phases (Phase 1 to Phase 4).
The incumbent will need to lead a team of Designers, FF&E designers, Co-ordinators & Draftsman while executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget.
He/she must possess the knowledge, experience and confidence to engage and professionally interact with clients, consultants, vendors and contractors.
He/she must be professional and a personable leader committed to the overall objective and self-development within the company.
Job Description
- Work Closely With Team Of Designers On Producing Design And Looked Into Detailing Which Is In Accordance To The Client’s Requirement,Contract Document And Budget.
- Oversees And Check The Design Produced By The Designers And Draftsman, To Ensure Compliance And Alignment To The Contract Document, Schedule And Budget.
- Assist In Project Co-Ordination Related Matters, Including Scheduling , Manpower Planning and Documentation Submission.
- Update Latest Developments/Information on The Projects With Respective Team Memebers Through Effective Communication.
- Able To Coordinate, Delegate, Give Feedback, And Mentor Subordinates Regarding Their Work And Professional Development Including Problems Solving.
- Review Of Shop Drawings.
- Attends Site Meetings And Site/Factory Inspection.
- Flexibility In Handling Multiple Projects.
- Build Positive Working Relationships With Clients For Repeat Business.
Work Experience & Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Architectural or Interior Design or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience especially in hospitality industry and experience in leading a team of designers , FF&E designers and draftsman.
- Creativity and artistic flair.
- Good understanding of design (composition, planning, materials, details, furniture and fixtures).
- Able to interpret specifications and layouts.
- Good knowledge of drawing preparation and CAD standard, strong organizational skill and attentive to detail.
- Experience in handling projects in all design phases.
- Good knowledge of site work and progress.
- Strong in design detailing and freehand sketching.
- Familiar with hotel design programs, operators design standards and general rules of thumb
- Passionate and aware of global design trends.
- Highly motivated, strong communication, interpersonal, observation skills and team leader
- Responsible and able to work independently.
- Must be meticulous, a good team leader and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and perform in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, 3D Max and sketch up will be a plus.
