Application Manager – System Standardization and Governance


The main focus of this role is to develop the overarching architecture strategy, standards, policies, and governance for the Applications team. It involves creating, implementing, and maintaining scalable applications. Collaboration with various teams, including business analysts, designers, and developers, is crucial to deliver high-quality solutions meeting business user requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, as well as creativity and decisiveness, to effectively engage and influence key stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and formulate architecture strategy, standards, policies, and governance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with IT policies for application development and maintenance.
  • Prepare and present reports on Application Management.
  • Oversee IT audit and compliance.
  • Work with the IT Governance team to align ISO27001 with application practices.
  • Ensure application team members adhere to IT Policy and Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Collaborate with other Applications teams' principals/leads for annual and mid-year work plan and budgeting exercises.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years in IT with years of experience in software development and end-to-end project delivery.
  • Experience in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and familiar with ISO27001 standards
  • Understanding of cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, scalability, and security considerations.
  • Experience in establishing coding standards and process improvement within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, lead, and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Adaptability to changing technologies and project requirements.
