The Restructuring and Insolvency Associate conducts initial market research and financial analyses. He/She participates in business development and stakeholder interactions and manages the restructuring and insolvency processes for the client engagements that he/she is responsible for. Adherence to standards of ethics and maintain quality assurance in processes is expected of the role.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyse historical financial performance and perform cash flows analyses
- Conduct financial analyses, financial statements review and assess business performance
- Gather relevant data and information to develop financial restructuring plans
- Prepare documents for sales of distressed assets
- Research and gather information on legal entity structure of clients
- Assist in drafting correspondence to clients with creditors during restructuring or insolvency
- Support team with judicial management, receiverships and liquidations
- Gather relevant data and information to develop a proposal and/or scheme of arrangement
- Maintain internal and external relationships to drive desired outcomes
- Prepare business proposals and pitch documents
Job Requirements:
- Background in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or other relevant field
- 1 - 3 years and 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in corporate insolvency and restructuring will be considered for Associate and Senior role respectively, but candidates with no experience are also welcome to apply!
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions
- Tenacious and willing to learn on the job
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player
