Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Prof. Ren Weiqing on online decision making under a project on “Fundamental Limits for Statistical Learning”.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
(i) To perform excellent research with Prof. Ren Weiqing and his team of students and research fellows, leading to publications in top venues on numerical methods for multi-phase flows on elastic substrates and related contact line dynamics;
(ii) To teach one class in the Mathematics department per year.
Qualifications
• Qualifications / Discipline: Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics or Computer Science
• Skills: Computational mathematics with a focus on numerical methods for partial differential equations
• Experience: 4 years of doing research on strain gradient elasticity problem, numerical homogenization of singular perturbations in elasticity and performed numerical analysis for heterogeneous multiscale methods
