Fleet Management
- To gain experience in Corporate Fleet Management through planning for vessel’s budgeting and working through the required engineering expenditures. To create a shift from current operations mindset and being a “cost centre” towards a Profit & Loss mindset as well as being a “value creator”.
- To lead in the role of FMS Training Project Coordinator, to plan and execute the training of FMS Champions and drive the proliferation of FMS knowledge and usage across our ships.
- To participate in Engineering Process Improvisation and Digital Technology Adoption - Digitalise daily ship monitoring process & streamline Data Visualisation platform, harness technical data to support engineering decision making.
Project Management – People & Training
- To participate in the continuous improvement initiatives for ESG at both departmental and company levels.
- Undertake Learning Needs Analysis for Engineers to establish the required training plans and roadmaps.
Docking Management
- Understudy one drydocking vessel since planning and preparation stage, including vessel inspection and communication with Master and CE for the drydock finalised action plan. Assist technical superintendent to compare and evaluate drydock cost, submission of Authorised of Expenditures (AFE) for technical management review.
- Attend to dry docking, site inspection, VSCC and interaction and negotiation with shipyard, authorised maker service team, assorted service provider & vendor.
- Perform pre and post drydocking Cost Analysis and Lesson Learnt Report for technical management review.
Some possible Stretched Projects:
- To develop a strategy and operational plan to space out the maintenance and dry docking schedule of our ships Or any other approved KMG-level projects/initiative.
Requirements
- Good experience in managing marine crew in supervisory position.
- Good interpersonal and social skills.
- Positive and open growth mindset.
- Independent and resilient.
- Good knowledge of international crewing regulations including flag state requirements, STCW, ILO, MLC2006
- Strong team orientation and ability to manage cross cultural crew and relationships in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Holding to Seagoing COC preferred.
