Job Description
The Senior Executive – Workforce Development supports the Workforce Development team on the organisation's training and development strategy. He/She assists in the development and enhancement of the company’s Skills Maps and actively contributes to workforce development initiatives through platforms like Company Training Committee (CTC), Community of Practice (COP) and Committee of Review (COR). As a Senior Executive, Workforce development, He/She is involved in initiatives related to upskilling of the company’s workforce or branding of the company through various external events/avenues. He/She assist the team with various stakeholders’ engagement initiatives and contributes ideas to strengthen the company’s network and relationship with strategic partners to achieve synergy in ensuring the workforce be future ready and competent in competencies
related to their job roles referencing closely to the Skills framework.
The Senior Executive – Workforce Development is a team player and possesses a deep passion for developing organisational and people capabilities and has strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver work outcomes. The Senior Executive – Workforce Development requires problem-solving skills and is able to manage priorities and address multi-faceted issues effectively. He/She has strong communication skills which enables him/her to interact effectively with stakeholders.
Learning and Development - Support the team in Learning and development programmes to equip people with the right
capabilities and prepare them well for the work they are assigned to perform.
- Assist in the Coordination with stakeholders to seek clarity on learning and development strategies based on organisation’s current and future business and skill requirements.
- Support the team in managing the financial budget for learning and development to enable current and future business strategy and objectives.
Workforce Development - Support the Development / set up (structure, people, process, and system) to deliver its vision, mission, strategy and plans in an effective and efficient manner.
- Assist the Manager, Workforce Development to execute learning development initiative to prepare the organisation to respond to organisational changes.
- Contribute to team’s effort in recommending learning and development interventions to meet business strategy, needs and goals.
- Conduct training/Support Subject matter experts in learning and development model that addresses all training and development needs.
Analytics and Insights - Leverage on data analytic tools and analytical techniques to create management information,
business insights, and projections for HR training purposes.
- Derive insights from data-based platforms like JobKred and Qualtrics through use of statistical analysis tools to support recommendations/intervention of workforce development related
issues,
Relationships and Communication - Support the team in managing relationships with people and communicate with impact and empathy so as to carry out the functional role of HR effectively.
- Assist in recommending HR training and development strategies using clear language that engages others in the view of the future.
- Overcome resistance, objections and conflicts during conversations in a firm, respectful and empathetic manner.
- Support the team’s effort to establish relationships with leaders to build trust and understand their needs.
Leverage on Skills framework and National Policies and Initiatives to achieve workforce development excellence across company.
- Execute Learning Development strategy with guidance from Manager, Workforce Development in accordance with Skills Framework components.
- Recommend learning programmes with Skills Framework components to Business Units
- Partake in workgroup/task groups discussions to upskill company’s workforce based on business requirements and contributes in the execution of strategies conceived.
Requirements
· Degree/ Diploma majoring in Business Management / Human Resource or any related business discipline.
· Strong analytical skills and conceptual abilities
· Strong organizational and planning skills
· Strong communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and writing skills with ability to engage people at all levels.
· Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, interpersonal and communications skills
· Detailed oriented and able to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects within agreed deadlines.
· Meticulous, proactive, resourceful, empathetic, able to work in face paced, dynamic environment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT applications
· Knowledge of infographic presentation and any Artificial Intelligence (AI) software such as ChatGPT would be advantageous.
