Job Description
As an Architect specializing in the Aviation industry, your responsibilities are:
- Formulating and implementing an architecture strategy to facilitate the efficient and timely delivery of projects within the Business unit.
- Supervising the overarching architecture and reviewing API designs for the Digital Services Platform and middleware, including Type-B and MQ.
- Ensuring that the IT technology landscape aligns with long-term technology strategy objectives, ensuring fitness for purpose.
- Crafting enterprise cloud landscapes for platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Microservices.
- Developing cloud strategies and re-architecting enterprise applications to be cloud-na*tive.
- Creating high-level architecture plans for cloud-based applications.
- Ensuring that cloud infrastructure and data networks are appropriately sized and continuously optimized.
- Conducting proof-of-concept exercises to evaluate new technologies.
In terms of Business Support:
- Actively participating in organized events with Product Owners, member carriers, and third-party providers to identify new digital service and technology opportunities.
- Offering support for project initiatives, encompassing technical and digital specifications, application re-architectures, and digital solutions.
- Analyzing the effectiveness of current applications and proposing solutions to enhance productivity, reduce complexity, and minimize costs.
- Contributing to negotiations on technical and commercial aspects with vendors.
The Successful Applicant
Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Architecture (Business Architect (Amadeus Altea), ideally within the travel sector. Additionally, having a TOGAF certification or familiarity with the framework would be a valuable asset. Desired qualifications include proficiency in:
- Designing web and mobile solutions.
- Developing enterprise and application architectures.
- Utilizing open source technologies.
- Implementing service-oriented architectures.
- Operating within middleware environments.
A comprehensive grasp of systems and software lifecycle development activities is also expected.
