Country Manager

Job Description:
The Country Manager sets overall direction for the operations, formulates strategic goals and drives organisational growth while aligning with the Company’s strategies. He/ she identifies new business opportunities, champions the organisation's service excellence aspirations and fosters strategic relationships with stakeholders. Will responsible for driving the organisation’s financial, innovation and productivity strategies based on the Company’s overall direction.
Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Deliver on country commercial and profitability targets
- Lead in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Manage business to maximize profitability. Complete ownership of costs and other overheads in line with P&L plans.
- Develop and implement strategy to accelerate company business in Singapore
- Hire, coach, and develop personnel across a range of job areas in order to meet sales and business-growth targets.
- Spear head the brand’s retail expansion in Singapore
- Identify and evaluate leasing opportunities
- Lead in real estate and building infrastructure expansion plans for boutiques and/or offices
Brand Management
- Present and share brand performance on a regular basis with the Management
- Lead the marketing team to develop, manage and execute brand targets, strategy and marketing plans
- Work closely with management to develop standard and seasonal product assortment
Operations
- Formulate and implement operating procedures and standards to ensure that company short and long term goals are met
- Work closely with the operations manager to forecast stock requirements, plan purchases, and manage inventory
- Manage the daily country operations & identify key opportunities to accelerate growth & profitability in the market(s)
- Lead the operations team to fulfil the country’s operational requirement efficiently
- Lead and implement formulation of technology strategies and roadmaps to boost business productivity
Retail Management
- Work closely with the boutiques to achieve sales targets
- Determine manpower requirements, work closely with Boutique Supervisors and HR team to recruit and develop high performing teams with the right staff at the right shops
- Optimise service performance of our retail teams through service excellence
- Monitor and optimise operational performance of boutiques inclusive of inventory flows and accuracy, team operational productivity, stock organization and training
- Support the training needs of the retail team
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Business Management preferably major in Marketing, Operations Management, Supply-chain Management or Retail Management
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the retail industry occupying a management position, preferably also experienced in managing warehouse operations
