Our client is an international freight and shipping company. They are currently looking for an operations controller to join their expanding team.
Responsibilities
- Handle queries and operational orders between offices, agents and clients.
- Handle shipping quotes and maintain freight rate management.
- Ensure shipping processes are being adhered to and ensure systems are kept up to date.
- Creation of shipment orders.
- Handle and monitor the invoicing of shipments.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with agents to increase revenues globally.
- Statistical understanding and reporting of volumes and trade lanes
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years of logistics experience.
- General knowledge of Imports / Exports / General Logistics / Warehousing/ Customs / Rate Understanding
- Sea freight and Airfreight knowledge (Importing and Exporting)
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Working Location: Changi
