We are looking for a business analyst as part of the core project team, who will be responsible for bridging the gap between customer needs and challenges and translating them into operational workflows and processes.
The successful candidate will be a key player in the delivery of port management information system projects and needs to be comfortable working with a cross competency team of project managers, service designers, UI designer and developers.
You will be part of a highly skilled and focused team, leveraging Wärtsilä’s significant R&D resources and networks with a direct impact on developing and implementing smart port technologies together with customers and development partners.
To be successful in this role one must be highly self-motivated and organized, with a keen eye for detail. There is also a need to be highly structured and be able to work with requirements documentation (Jira, excel or word documents). The position’s location is Singapore.

Responsibilities:
· Work with product manager, product expert or project manager to identify customers' business requirements
· Ability to work with a team to identify and document customer operational workflows and processes - while understanding business context behind workflows
· Ability to identify end-user roles and responsibilities in relation to the system, to comfortably articulate to end-users on business benefits behind optimizing or automating workflows based on the Wartsila solution provided
· Create process maps or workflow diagrams to illustrate what aspects of the workflow will be automated
· Engage in regular dialogue with the program manager to ensure project alignment with broader project goals and milestones
· Be open to assisting in project tracking, risk management, and coordination of various project elements but in a supporting role to the project manager or program lead
· Work closely with a service designer to enhance service delivery and user experience within port operations. Contribute to the design of user-centric processes that optimize customer interaction and operational efficiency.
· Actively engage with customers to understand and document their requirements. Ensure that these requirements are comprehensive and accurately reflect customer needs.

· be open to test and review built/configured application to ensure that developed work fulfils customer requirements and submitted work items
· be open to continuous improvement by incorporating customer feedback into ongoing service design and process optimization, ensuring that identified workflows are responsive to customer needs and industry developments.
Requirements
· A bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
· Minimum 5 years working experience with at least 3 years as a functional or business analyst
· Prior experience in port operations or a closely related field is highly desirable.
· Strong ability to analyze data, interpret customer requirements, and translate them into operational workflows.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Understanding of agile principles and experience in participating in agile projects
· Familiarity with modern technology tools and software used in logistics and port operations.
· Ability to adapt to changing requirements and integrate customer feedback into service design.
· Ability to understand and converse in mandarin is a plus
· Familiar with Jira or Zoho is a plus
· Experience in managing projects is a plus
