- Involved on electrical tendering, design and construction phase based on best practices defined in the engineering efficiency checklist;
- Implementing the design checklist and tracking progress on pre-contract and post contract project.
- Prepare electrical packages including specification and drawings;
- Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and to remain technically competent;
- Tendering and estimating of electrical works for projects prior to award;
- Compiling lesson learnt and briefing Head of Department (HOD), updating Lesson Learnt register accordingly;
- Compilation and Review of Operation and Maintenance Dossier for Projects;
- In the absence of a Project based Engineer, the Senior Engineer shall assume the role and responsibilities assigned to the Engineer position.
- Promote safe working practices and to protect the health and well-being of Employees, Sub-contractors and Customers;
- Undertake the assigned work scope in a professional and responsible manner;
- Responsible on Electrical Design on large scale projects during the design and construction phase;
- Design of High Voltage switchgear and Low Voltage switchboards, motor control systems, transformer, generators, High Voltage and Low Voltage Cable systems, lighting and small power systems for Clean rooms, Industrial Facilities and Commercial Buildings;
- Carry out design calculation deemed necessary for executing the project, which includes, short circuit calculation, load flow, cable sizing, lighting calculation;
- Execute/Expedite electrical packages during construction phase of a project and taking responsibility for the assigned electrical packages;
- Co-ordination and scheduling activities for Electrical supervisors on a project to ensure timely delivery at project milestone dates;
- Interfacing with other trades during design phase and incorporate their requirements into electrical design;
- Technical Evaluation of vendor submissions including approval of shop drawings;
- Peer review tender or design documents Continuously update profile on career compass
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
- With atleast 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in design consultancy or EPC contractors prefered data centre, pharma, semicon/cleanrroom, industrial plant projects background.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of Engineering Design and Construction for High Voltage and Low Voltage Electrical systems from Preliminary Design to Commissioning and Handover.
