Position: Human Resource Manager

Food Inc is a Singapore-based award-winning hospitality group that owns and manages a diverse portfolio of F&B concepts. These brands include Two Michelin-starred Saint Pierre and Shoukouwa, alongside our latest addition, Shoukouwa Shinjidai, and casual restaurants Kingdom of Belgians and SQUE Rotisserie & Alehouse.


Beyond our dining establishments, Food Inc. operates Mycelium Catering, serving various institutional clients. We also conduct cooking camps for children and offer end-to-end F&B consultancy.


Position Overview:

As a Human Resource Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of the organization's most valuable asset - its people. You will be responsible for overseeing various daily HR functions to attract, develop and retain a high-performing workforce aligned with the company's strategic objectives and values.


Key Responsibilities:


Recruitment and Selection:

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies tailored to the specific needs of each establishment.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process for various roles, from chefs and kitchen staff to front-of-house personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with restaurant managers and chefs to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Employee Relations:

  • Foster positive employee relations by implementing effective HR policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, providing guidance and support for resolution.
  • Conduct investigations into complaints of misconduct or policy violations and take appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.

Performance Management:

  • Design and implement performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance objectively.
  • Provide training and support to managers in conducting performance evaluations and setting development goals.
  • Identify training and development needs to enhance individual and organizational performance.

Training and Development:

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies of our culinary and service teams.
  • Collaborate with chefs and outlet managers to identify training needs and opportunities for skill development.
  • Facilitate career development opportunities to support employee growth and retention.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and employee benefits packages.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure our compensation packages remaincompetitive within the market.
  • Advise management on compensation-related matters, including salary structures,bonuses, and incentive programs.

HR Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of labour laws and regulations to ensure compliance with legal requirements across of establishments.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with legal standards and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data confidentiality and security inaccordance with regulatory requirements.

Strategic HR Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop HR strategies that support the growth and expansion of Food Inc's F&B portfolio.
  • Analyse HR metrics and trends to provide insights for strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Anticipate future HR needs and proactively recommend initiatives to address them.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in HR management roles, with a comprehensiveunderstanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectivelyat all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven HR decisions.
  • Independent, adaptable, and resourceful.
  • Proficiency in InfoTech HRMS will be an advantage.
